I auditioned for a few characters on Brown Nation, but once I read for JJ SMOOTH I knew it was meant to be. Maybe all the years of being fresh of the boat, coming to the US as a 10-year-old with half-zip detachable pants that I thought made me look cool, I found my balance in the multi-cultural, anglo-desi music of artists like Rishi Rich, Jay Sean, Raghav and Juggy D.
I knew this character, and a part of me has always BEEN this character.
