snow day

From the Corner of the Outside...
Corners are a special commodity in the Dileep residence. Interior design comes to us by way of my dearest (and most talented) Mother, with some HGTV sprinkled in. The secret lies in the corners of every room. Most of the pictures in this set include corners of different rooms. The corners at home focus my gaze, cement my place and sometimes my purpose: "Why did I choose this room to do this?" I kept asking myself throughout my stay.
But on the outside there is a corner in our balcony. This corner is a little different from other corners, because here is where Military Frog lies. Ever since he has entered into our service, Military Frog has been outside on this corner, winter, spring, summer, fall. Military Frog protects our home from the wilderness (about 40 feet before the backyard of another, similarly constructed household of perfectly acceptable neighbors). On this day, Military Frog had his picture taken.

I remember when I was a kid, I was so excited about the snow. Of course NO SCHOOL, but I was always so excited for the snow outside and for a day of "absolute freedom" inside. Now, I have to fight the impulse to see home as an empty vessel. We have lived in this house for [ ] years. Back then, I wanted to build snowmen. Today, someone asked me to send them a picture of a snow angel. My response: I scoffed. I used to be so excited to have a day at home and do "whatever I wanted." I didn't have a phone like I do now...back then it was AIM.
But hey, these gloves are mine. They were a gift. I remember who gave them to me, too.
Who's in Control?
A moment of appreciation for electricity. Thanks, Power!
Hey!
I've never had one of these, okay? #original
I have spots in my house where I just sit and think.
My eyes gaze intently, purposefully on the same objects around me. Nothing is out of the ordinary. And in that silence and order of the ordinary, my thoughts collide.
This Is Home
It's warm inside (even though it's central heating)
Center Table
4-6 inches of white powder
I enjoyed this little adventure of capturing the LAST SNOWFALL OF 2015.
There I said it.
